The King Winter Seasonal Doll is dressed in blues and lavenders - wool that shimmers like ice and snow.  He carries a staff and a snowball, and wears a jeweled crown.

After the autumn leaves fall, the tree limbs stand bare until spring arrives.  Grey Winter depicts the winter image of windy and rainy days, he has a picture of a winter-bare tree on his dress and holds a brown limb.  He wears a nice warm hood for the cold of winter that can be pulled back as spring warms up the earth.  Grey Winter can transform as spring arrives by replacing his branch with a budding pussy willow and adding tiny green leaves to his tree image.  Approximately 7 inches tall.

Handmade Jump Rope

The Queen Bee Fairy Tale Puppets

This puppet set includes three brothers, three princesses, a wise old gnome man, two ducks(one shown), honey bees, and felted ants.  The character puppets are about 12" - 14" inches tall, the ducks are 2" x 4", bees and ants are about 1/2" - 1" each.  The puppets are made from silks and printed cloths, velour, cotton, and weighted with wool and marbles.  They may come with embroidered eyes and lips, please specify in comments when ordering.  These puppets are very versatile and may also be used with other stories such as Rose Red and Snow White (see below).  The puppets are also available as standing puppets for table puppet plays.  Please email if you have any questions.

Handmade Boxes with Beeswax Candles

Boxes made of tag board and collaged colored tissue papers are decorated with Indian Rangoli designs. The colorful boxes contain 12 long burning beeswax candles. Please select a color.

Katazome Hand-Printed Scarves

The ancient rice paste printing technique katazome is practiced on silk gauze cloth to create wearable art scarves.

To create the scarves, I begin by cutting stencils out of mulberry paper for the designs.  The silk scarves are hand-printed with rice paste resist, natural dyes, pigments, and soy as a binder.  After pasting, printing, coloring, and washing out rice paste, each scarf is hemmed by hand and fixed to hold the color.

The scarves are available in both silk chiffon, and silk crinkle gauze.  Silk chiffon has an airy quality with a weighted graceful drape.  Silk crinkle gauze has a lighter draping quality which folds upon itself when worn.

There will be slight variations in color because each scarf is completely handmade.  These silk scarves may be gently washed and enjoyed for many years.
